Sit & Down

Mommy had to go to the laundry mat tonight and she took me with her. I thought we were going to run around and have fun but she said I had start learning new things.

Mommy had started teaching me to "Sit" a few days ago and it was really new to me. We reviewed "Sit" tonight. She seems to be asking a little something extra from me now. Now I have to sit and look at her to get my treat. It took me a few times to figure it out but I am smart so it didn't take too long. I was very motivated because Mommy has good treats for me when I do it right.

She also started to have me lay down on my tummy to get the treat. After a few times of doing it she started to say "Down" to me. I am not sure that I have that one figured out but we stopped our training when the washer was done. Mommy said it is good to keep our training sessions short. I hope she knows what she is talking about.

Fun Night

Auntie Sara came over to visit tonight. She loves me bunches and bunches. She played with me, held me, trimmed my nails and gave me a LOTS of kisses.
Auntie Sara and Mommy also supervised the playtime in the yard. They were laughing me as I was bounding through the yard trying to keep up with the bigger kids. I had lots of fun playing.
We went to dinner too. The carpet smelled really good and I had a hard time leaving it alone. It was almost my dinner time so I was pretty hungry and unsettled. I will get better at all this stuff in time.
My eye is feeling better but I still have to have medicine put in my eye 3 times a day. It isn't too bad and I take it like a man but it leaves gooey stuff around my eye.

Conjunctivitis

I got to meet Dr. John today. My eye has been weepy with a slightly green discharge since late Friday night. Mommy has been watching it closely and she called Dr. John today to get an afternoon appointment.

He was a pretty cool guy (for being a Doctor). He got down on the floor and played with me for a while. He checked me all over. I didn't like it when he was checking my eye but I tried to hold still for him. He said my ears look good and he listened to my heart.

When all was said and done Dr. John gave Mommy some medicine for my eye. He says I have a mild case of Viral Conjunctivitis. The medicine is an ointment and it is sticky but he said it would only be for 7 days and my eye would feel better in just a couple of days.

Mommy forgot the camera so no pictures today. She said she will get a picture of me and Dr. John at our next visit on May 23rd.
